About The Confident Grief Coach and B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coaching Model for Grief Facilitator Certification Program:

The Confident Grief Coach and B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Facilitator certification program is designed for licensed and certified professionals, or other persons who desire to provide clinical, coaching, and/or support services to bereaved families. It provides the student the heart of grief coaching for clients who have experienced the death of a beloved child, sibling, parent, spouse, or other significant loved one.

Death and subsequent grief is uncomfortable, messy, and can be deeply misunderstood, especially in societies where grief is not allowed the time to be given its due process. We are about changing the paradigm of grief using positive psychology tools, Human Design, the ancient Chinese wisdom of connecting emotion with physical healing, and specific actions designed for creating purposeful living as a means for the bereaved to create lives where peace, purpose, and joy can coexist with grief.

A large portion of your grief coaching will focus on taking action that helps your client step off the rollercoaster of grief, take a deep breath, and find solid ground beneath their feet. This course content is the foundation to assist these grieving clients in finding a sense of peace and renewed energy to continue to step forward into a life worth living after the death of their loved one.

  • Are you a coach, psychologist, clinician, or other helping professional who finds meaning in helping your clients overcome one of life’s biggest challenges - the death of a loved one?

  • Or perhaps you are someone who has the lived experience of successfully creating a life of purpose after the death of your loved one and you now want to serve others?

  • Are you looking to be able to expand your confidence in helping your existing or potential new clients who have experienced grief due to the loss of a significant loved one?

  • Do you feel at ease coaching grieving clients about their goals and challenges? Or are you looking to be able to expand your confidence to help your existing or potential new clients who are struggling in their grief due to the loss of a significant loved one?

  • Do you believe in HOPE and want to help grieving families find the hope to move positively forward in their grief?

As a Confident Grief Coach and Certified B.R.E.A.T.H.E. certification candidate, this class is designed, in part, to help you process through any of your own unhealed or unexplored grief so you can understand what steps can help both you and your clients towards living a physically and emotionally healthier life filled with more happiness, peace, and purpose.

Because we all bring our perception, our beliefs, our training, and our academic education to this table of grief, this program is designed to allow you to immerse yourself into each of the modules so that you can learn it intimately. You will sit in the chair as the grief client. You will not only walk through the various steps of the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. program, you will be actively doing the exercises and assignments as outlined throughout the steps.

Why Take The Class?

Everyone is going to experience tragedy and grief at some point in their life and the most common question we ask is “why did this happen”? As Marianne Williamson has said, “The question is not so much why did this happen but what do I do with this now that it did?”

Statistics show us that 10,000 children between the ages of 1 and 14 died in the U.S. in 2018 (fatherly.com), and this figure doesn’t take into consideration the fact that in 2019, 124 people died every day from preventable poisonings due to opioid drugs, many of which are teenagers and young adults (injuryfacts.nsc.org).

As of April 2021, over one-half million people died in the US and Canada due to Covid-19 related illness.

The bottom line is this: There are tens of thousands of families throughout Northern America who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives.

Although we desire to help others in their grief - there is an enormous gap in wanting to help someone grieving after a traumatic loss to knowing some proven methods that will actually create positive change in the emotional and physical well-being of the bereaved. Grief is exhausting and can create an array of complications ranging from physical health challenges, relationship issues, and the ability to leave the home, much less return to work. The world of a bereaved family after a traumatic death of a loved one becomes extremely small for most.

This class will help you utilize the blueprint for the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coaching Model for Grief to not only helping your clients “survive” after deep loss but assist them onto the path to “thriving”, that will challenge the belief that long-term talk therapy or medication is the only path to experience healing in grief — and replace or add proven strategies for mastering emotional and physical well-being for lasting change.
