Cindy Upton

Cynthia (Cindy) Upton is a Certified Grief Coach and B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Program Facilitator trained through the Confident Grief Coach Program and credentialed through the International Coaching Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Cindy evolved into the grief coaching journey through firsthand experiences. Having met grief at an early age through the death of a teenage brother, Cindy learned firsthand the pain of family grief. She was introduced to other faces of grief and loss as an adult. In a quest to process loss while moving forward, Cindy discovered coaching.

Cindy started her career path as a graduate of George Mason University with a Communications degree. A fortunate opportunity landed her a marketing position in Italy. While there, she married and subsequently made a significant career change. She became a mother whose primary role was raising four daughters. A seemingly perfect life shifted dramatically in the fast forward. Cindy’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Unprepared, it hurled her family to a place of profound heartache. Within months of the devasting news, her marriage of seventeen years was unexpectantly terminated. Cindy coped with the demise of the family as it had been, while feeling the anticipated sadness of saying goodbye to a much beloved mother. She began listening to coaches and reading books on death, divorce, change, grief, and all related matters. Ten years passed and another major life transition and painful bereavement ensued. The week her youngest daughter entered college, her father went to sleep in the hands of God, joining the souls of his wife and son in Heaven. Cindy felt the sorrow of simultaneously being an “empty nester,” and an adult orphan. Determined to find meaning in her collective life-loss experiences, her search led to coaching. Cindy desired to support others, who like herself, would find themselves wandering the abyss of loss while seeking a path to healing. She became a Certified Spiritual Coach (CSC) as the first step.

Cindy’s heart purpose is to partner with individuals and families adrift in grief but ready to re-orient to a new reality. The tools through the Confident Grief Coach Program help individuals learn to B.R.E.A.T.H.E and find a way to H.O.P.E. on their journey.

Elizabeth Adels
I am a Grief Coach guiding daughters through the grief of losing their mothers. I have over 30 years experience in the personal growth industry healing my own deep griefs and losses. I lost my own dear mother in Sept 2014 and through that deep valley of sorrow and tears I gained insight into how this loss affects daughters left behind. I became internationally certified as a Life Coach with iPEC in 2013 and I recently added a certification as a Grief Coach with Healing Family Grief and Pat Sheveland. Since then it has been an honor to hold sacred space for clients to feel and heal.
